Keeping yourself from getting harmed when working around your home should be your first priority. No matter what job you do, there is most likely a type of PPE that you should be using. Do you know what PPE is? It stands for Personal Protective Equipment, and it can take many forms. It could be gloves, glasses, earplugs, hard hats or something similar, and the greater the risk involved in the work you do, the more essential wearing the appropriate PPE is.

Many times though, people start out wearing the proper PPE, but then they take it off for some reason, and an accident happens. It could be that they are trying to reach something that is out of range, get a better grip on something, or see something better. Whatever the reason, you should discontinue work when you remove your PPE, and not resume working until you have put it back on.
