Generally speaking, the bedroom may not seem like a breeding ground for mold and, with properly controlled humidity it may not be. But all indoor spaces are susceptible to mold so it’s worth checking your bedroom for possible mold just in case.
Where do I check for mold in the bedroom?
- On your mattress. All you need is excess moisture to create mold. Finding mold on your mattress is a frightening thought. Invest in a mold-resistant mattress. Otherwise, make sure your household humidity levels low and your mattress stays cool and dry.
- Windows and Windows sills. Windows that collect condensation to the humidity can be especially problematic in print any more growth. If that moisture finds its way to the indoor window seal you will have a mold problem. Dry off any condensation inside the window regularly to prevent mold buildup.
- Air conditioning and heating vents. While using the AC and heating unit mold can grow in the vents.
